To my beloved friends and family:
The Joyce family's official baptism date is scheduled for May 17th! They are reading from the Book of Mormon and coming to church and doing really well! We love visiting and teaching their family!
Last week when we were on exchanges, Sis Manwill felt prompted to try and contact a Sara, a person she saw when she was here last time. Sis Little and I had tried several times to contact her, but to no avail. So we went over to her trailer park with little faith on my part. When we pulled in, we saw a mom and her son walking back to their house and decided that we should go talk to them. We closed our eyes to pray as we always do before going to talk to someone, but when we opened our eyes, she was gone! We knocked on the Sara's door and she wasn't home. But we knocked on her neighbor's door and that was where the mom lived! We talked with her and she told us her name was April Ferral and that we could come back and share more! We tried seeing her last week and she rescheduled on us, but we were finally able to see her Friday.
April has gone through a lot of hard things in her 26 years, but she's in a good place now with a good husband, two step sons and a son of her own. She was so open to hearing about the church! We asked if we could come back and teach her and her husband some more and she invited us back for the next day. The next day we got to teach her and her husband. Her husband is a good man who does what he can to keep the commandments and help people out. He hasn't had too good of experiences in church, but has an open mind to let us share our message with him. Guess what? THEIR WHOLE FAMILY CAME TO CHURCH YESTERDAY!!!!! Since I got here in February Sis Little and I have been praying and looking for a family to bring into the church. April said she really enjoyed church and that she really wants her family to be involved in church. She is so ready for the gospel! Her family is not quite as excited as she is yet, but I'm sure the more contact they have with the spirit the more they will catch the vision of how amazing the gospel of Jesus Christ is!
If you guys wouldn't mind praying for our investigators especially the Joyce family, the Ferral Family, and Brad (it's a long story, but he could really use some prayers) I know they will be given the help they need to come and accept all the blessings of the gospel!
I love you all! Hope you have a great weekend watching conference!
